Special Education Teacher is a dedicated professional who adapts general education lessons and teaches various subjects to students with mild to severe physical, mental, or emotional disabilities. ​Beyond just teaching, we are advocates, strategists, and bridge-builders between the student and the world. ​Core Responsibilities ​Individualized Education Programs. This might involve using braille, sign language, or assistive technology (like speech-to-text software). ​Behavioral Support: We implement positive behavior intervention strategies to help students manage emotions and develop social skills. ​Life Skills Training: For students with more severe disabilities, We often focus on "functional skills" like basic hygiene, safety, and communication.
